Nanchang Institute of Science and Technology (NIST) is a full-time application-oriented undergraduate college with engineering disciplines as priorities under a coordinated development of multiple disciplines. It is listed as the first batch of 1+X certificate system pilot colleges by the Ministry of Education, and the first batch of “transition and development of pilot colleges to applied universities” by Jiangxi Provincial People’s Government.

NIST covers an area of 2,386.48 acres, with a total construction area of 990,000 square meters. The campus is surrounded by mountains and rivers, with beautiful scenery, complete facilities and functions. It is a national 3A-level tourist attraction.
